Company Profile
Our Mission

To maintain our leading position of providing quality built Category B approved Synthetic Trainers.

Company Profile

The Company first began in 1995 trading as Support Pilot Services. It provided quality ground based IFR training using a LINK Airtrainer model AT-67. This trainer was first built in the early sixties and used for many years by Ansett Australia for airline pilot training. It has two axis of motion in pitch and roll and uses vacuum tubes yet is an excellent IFR trainer. It is still used by the company today. Support Pilot Services still trades today selling Mike (lip) lights to the Australasian market as an exclusive agent for Seitz Scientific Industries, USA.

In 1997 the company started manufacture of Cat B approved synthetic trainers by converting Link Trainers to a digital system using IFT-Pro. At the time this was an excellent software program that had good third party development features.

In 1999 the company decided to move to the Elite software and hardware manufactured by ESS and design and manufacture new Cat B synthetic trainers under the name of Elite Airtrainer®. The product was launched by successfully bidding for the Queensland Emergency Services (helicopter) contract to provide three Elite Airtrainers for their Brisbane, Townsville and Cairns bases.

In 2000 the Company absorbed a Melbourne Simulator company for its growing business and became SimFlight for its Australian Synthetic Trainer market, and its growing overseas simulator interests.

Since SimFlight's inception, we have sold Category B Approved Air Trainers to customers throughout Australia and overseas.

Simflight is now the sole and exclusive Australian Agent and Dealer for Elite Simulation Solutions AG.
