Career Outline
I started my flying
career in the Army. I graduated from the Officer Cadet
School, Portsea (South of Melbourne, Australia) in 1979.
I was posted to the Australian Army Aviation Corps and graduated from 1 Flight Training School, Point Cook in 1980. From there I went to the Army School of Aviation at Oakey, Queensland were I graduated with my wings as an army helicopter pilot in 1981.
I left the Army in 1986 and joined the Victoria Police Air Wing as a Police rotary pilot.
I have also flown in Antarctica during the 1985/86 season. I flew a Hughes 500 on re-supply, reconnaissance and geo support at a place called Bunger Hills which is at The Shackelton Ice Shelf. I was there for approximately 3 months including the voyage down and back.

I conduct helicopter
instrument ground training using approved Cat B synthetic
trainer - an Elite trainer as well as check & training
services for a number of A109 operators around Australia.
I also manage Simflight Pty Ltd, an Australasian agent
for Elite Simulation Solutions AG, providing turnkey Synthetic
Training devices for the GA community.
